Where can a Masters in Earth systems take me?

Career Perspectives

Students will gain fundamental knowledge of Earth system science, with strong competencies in modeling, project management, combined with an advanced understanding of the complexities of empirical data and an awareness of related social issues (e.g., ethics, gender), communication, science policy and diplomacy.

However, the skills acquired as part of this program will equip students with a wider range of professional opportunities. Interactions with guest lecturers and internship opportunities will help students develop their network. Funding is also available for students to attend international conference, to develop their presentation skills and networks. In addition, students will receive input and feedback on CVs, cover letters, and applications to maximize their chances of success on the job market. Students can receive further career support through the FAU Graduate Centre.
